Cal High’s annual homecoming week is starting on Monday, Oct. 14. with the typical festivities spread across six days.
Here are the main events for the coming week.
Monday, Oct. 14: Dress-up theme is Disney villains. Seniors are blue and white for “Hades”; juniors are red, white and black for “Queen of Hearts”; sophomores are green and purple for “Maleficent”; and freshmen are orange and black for “Scar”.
The homecoming rally is during fourth period. There will be no tutorial.
Tuesday, Oct. 15: Theme is Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Dress up in matching outfits with a friend.
Wednesday, Oct. 16: Theme is Woody vs. Buzz. Wear country gear or neon colors.
Thursday, Oct. 17: Theme is Ohana Day. Wear tropical or tacky tourist gear.
Friday. Oct. 18: Theme is Lion King: Back to the Den. Deck out in Cal High gear.
The homecoming parade is at 1:30 p.m. starting at Athan Downs Park. The JV football game kicks off at 4:30 p.m., followed by varsity at 7:15 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 19: The homecoming dance is from 7-10 p.m. at the Event Center. Ticket sales will end next Wednesday. No guest passes are allowed. Tickets are $30 with ASB and $35 without.
