Freshman model, dancer and cheerleader Talia Sabrina Campo-Torres has strutted her way into the spotlight.
Torres started modeling for Models Inc. Talent agency about a year ago and now works with major skincare brand Bubble. She first appeared on TV when she was two years old, on a commercial for Viking Pavers, a hardscape company that installs things such as pool decks and driveways.
“The process of getting into modeling was very tedious, checking your email and going through auditions everyday,” Torres said. “But once you’re in, you’re in.”
Torres has been in front of the camera ever since. She has been in three commercials for Viking Pavers, John Muir, and Old Navy. She also featured in an episode for study sync (scripted videos for learning English), starred in photoshoots, and modeled in San Francisco’s fashion week.
Her agency plans for her to model in fashion shows in Martha’s Vineyard and even Paris in the future. Martha’s Vineyard is an island on the southern coast of Massachusetts that features stunning scenery with wildflower fields and miles of beautiful coastlines.
Torres had to submit a work permit to Cal to be able to take off time of school for these modeling events.
Torres’s most recent gig was modeling in a fashion show during San Francisco’s fashion week. On the morning of Cal’s homecoming, Torres headed for San Francisco to model in the event.
That morning she left in comfy clothes. When she arrived, makeup artists began doing her hair and makeup while her outfits were selected. Torres wore three to five outfits and learned the choreography for the event, which included a variation of spinning, stopping, and walking.
After the event, she met with the audience, photographers, and designers. During this time, Torres caught the attention of Amazon, which invited her to partner with them and set her up with photo shoots for their website.
Having already modeled in one fashion week, she will continue with her second in Paris. Torres says that although modeling is stressful, being able to see the sites and landmarks that come with the trip makes up for it.
Torres submitted an application on July 26 to become a Bubble ambassador, and was accepted a few days later. For about three months now, Torres has been posting videos for Bubble and promoting them.
“The brand was so understanding and knows how it is to juggle with everything, especially as a minor,” Torres said.
Bubble is one of her favorite skin care brands. Torres has sensitive skin and says the brand is a simple and affordable way to moisturize the skin. She believes Bubble is an accessible brand for teenagers.
Torres´s favorite product is the “Slam Dunk Moisturizer”.
“The moisturizer is thick, and helps moisturize my dry skin,” Torres said.
Torres is passionate about modeling and has big hopes and dreams for the future.
“The feeling is incredible, it’s the feeling of my dreams coming true,” Torres said.
