Summer means pool parties and vacations, but it also means popcorn, 3D glasses, a cold slushy, and being able to watch movies to your heart’s content without having to worry about getting up the next morning for school.
These are some of the most anticipated movies coming out this summer that students shouldn’t miss.
“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’’ has spun itself a web of attention, having the potential to become one of the most popular films this summer.
Coming out on June 2, “Across the Spider-Verse” broke the record for the longest animated film made in the United States.
It focuses on Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) as he reunites with Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) and finds himself in the Multi-verse, which is a collection of alternate universes. There, he meets other Spider-People, tasked with protecting its existence.
Filled with action, adventure and gorgeous graphics, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” will definitely be a fantastic movie to watch in an air-conditioned movie theater, escaping the summer heat.
The next movie is an adaptation of a book from the chilling mind of Stephen King. Made by the producers of the hit Netflix series, “Stranger Things”. “The Boogeyman” is reaching theaters on June 2 as well.
The film follows the story of Sadie Harper (Sophie Thatcher) and her little sister Sawyer (Vivian Lyra Blair) as they encounter a terrifying supernatural monster that only King could dream up. This movie is highly anticipated by King fanatics and horror movie lovers alike.
The seventh installment of the “Mission Impossible” franchise, “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” comes out July 12.
It continues the story and adventures of the Impossible Missions Force (IMF) agent Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise). The IMF is a secret spy agency based in the United States.
“Misson: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” also stars Rebecca Fergusen as Ilsa Faust, Hayley Atwell as Grace, and Vanessa Kirby as Alanna Mitsopolis.
This is only the first part of “Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning”, with the second part coming out next summer.
This movie will make your summer impossible to forget.
Releasing on June 16, “The Flash” is speeding to the title of the best superhero movie ever.
“The Flash” has already been shown to select critics at the CinemaCon, receiving positive comments for its performances, humor, emotional scenes, and action-packed sequences.
Starring Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/Flash, the movie will also include appearances by Batman (Michael Keaton), another Batman (Ben Affleck), and Supergirl (Sasha Calle).
The DC film follows Flash as he goes back in time to save his family. Howevere he gets trapped in a reality in which General Zod (Michael Shannon) has returned and rewrites history.
Stephen Curry’s not so underrated documentary, “Stephen Curry: Underrated” hits theaters on July 21. It tells the story of the famous Warriors guard as he rises from being an undersized college player to a four-time NBA Champion and two-time MVP.
Along with jaw-dropping footage from iconic games, the documentary also includes emotional clips that have never been seen before.

The “Barbie” trailer is already racking up millions of views. Starring Margot Robbie (the main Barbie) and Ryan Gosling (the main Ken), “Barbie” also comes to theaters July 21.
The live-action movie was originally supposed to start production in 2016, but numerous setbacks pushed the movie back.
With bright colors, over-the-top styling, and doll-like movement, it radiates a childish charm. The movie focuses on Barbie as she gets kicked out of fantasy Barbieland and sets off to navigate the darker human world in search of happiness.
For all Disney lovers, one of Disney’s popular rides is coming to life in theaters. “Haunted Mansion” releasing July 28, has a star-studded cast featuring Jamie Lee Curtis as Madame Leota, Jared Leto as Alistair Crump, LaKeith Stanfield as Ben Matthias, Chase Dillon as Travis, Danny DeVito as Bruce, and Tiffany Hadish as the psychic.
