What to expect for Super Bowl LVII
Super Bowl LVII will feature the Philadelphia Eagles with center Jason Kelce and quarterback Jalen Hurts against the Kansas City Chiefs’ dynamic duo of quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce.
Yes, the two guys named Kelce are brothers. But that’s just one of the many story lines going into Sunday’s game at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
Mahomes, MVP candidate, recently suffered an ankle injury. This changed how the Chiefs offense operated in their AFC Championship victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. How will he play on the big stage during the Super Bowl.
Then there’s the Eagles who have been better after blowing out the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers in their two playoff games. Will they be able to win their second Super Bowl in six years while beating their former coach, Andy Reid, who is looking to win his second Super Bowl with the Chiefs in four years.
The Super Bowl will also be hosting two brothers from opposite teams. And it’s not just any brothers. The Kelce brothers are both among the best at their positions and really entertaining. Even though both are on offense and won’t actually face each other, it’ll be super interesting to see what drama comes from this.
And of course we can’t talk about the Super Bowl without talking about the halftime show. Rihanna is set to perform and people seem super excited for this show. Rihanna has various collaborations with Drake,Kendrick Lamar and SZA. Will bring one of these artists on the big stage this Sunday?
The halftime show is also no longer sponsored by Pepsi. It is now sponsored by Apple music. Will change the overall vibe of the show? We’ll see.
Another important question is what commercials will be aired. Some anticipated commercials include one from Popcorners that features some of the “Breaking Bad” cast. Rapper Cardi B also is set to star in a commercial.
There has also been some controversy about the new M&Ms spokeswoman. It was announced on Instagram that actress and comedian Maya Rudolph is supposedly taking over. This is gaining lots of buzz in the press.
I predict the Chiefs will win 40-37. Because of Mahomes throwing capability and his talented wide receiving corps, Kansas City will absolutely dust the Eagles corners and win its third Lombardi Trophy.
