The life of a high school student can be, at times, crazy and really hectic.
Between tests, homework, sports, and extra curricular activities, school transforms into this never ending marathon of activities.
Like in every marathon, there are different ways to get to the finish line, and some are funnier than others.
Case in point: reality shows. These people are absolutely crazy. They make everyday life into a full on production.
Imagine putting your most hilarious friends into one of today’s most popular reality show such as “The Bachelor,” “Amazing Race,” “Top Chef: Just Desserts,” or “Real World.”
That is what we did, and found the future of reality TV, right here at Cal High.
The amazing duo of seniors Joseph Bugbee and Micheal Boozer is reality TV gold for “Amazing Race.”
Not only are they hilarious, they would bring comedic relief to every competition, and definitely would be the TV favorite to take home the $1 million prize.
“We would win because of our unicycling thunder thighs and our outfits of chaps and lots of leather and chain,” said Michael.
Besides their risque outfits the pair could sing a lot of “Build Me Up Buttercup” and use unicycles as their only mode of transportation for circling the globe.
“Michael and Joseph are both very unique and have a quirky sense of humor,” said senior Brian He. “They try to keep a positive spirit and outlook on things.”
Red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, chocolate dutch cupcakes with coconut vanilla frosting, and three tiered wedding cake with three different flavors are just some of the culinary masterpieces that sophomore Harry Fiebelman has put together.
His creations make him a perfect contestant for the Bravo show “Top Chef: Just Desserts.”
“I think that Harry would be great on ‘Top Chef,’” said junior Kelly Iaquinta. “He knows how to make something look good and taste good, and has a great sense of what goes together and what doesn’t.”
Though Harry loves to bake a variety of desserts, his favorite and what he thinks he is best at is pastries and cakes.
“I am very creative and I like to create different things, which is why I would be able to do the challenges,” said Harry.
After 26 seasons of the “Real World,” the show should seem predictable by now. But the show seems to get more and more entertaining every season.
With cat fights, drunken hookups, and a lot of drama, all conveniently placed in one random U.S. city, the “Real World” is one of the only original reality TV shows that has lasted through the seasons. This show is pure entertainment, and senior Jay Suh thinks he would be the perfect addition to the cast.
“ I am very confrontational, I do not hide or keep to myself, and I definitely start drama and do not keep to myself in any way,” said Jay.
Definitely not the peacemaker of the show, Jay would be the one to stir up trouble and possibly start a bit of drama.
“I think that Jay would be a partier and drama starter,” said Junior West Enos. “But mostly just a partier.”
Imagine one woman commanding the attention of 20 eligible bachelors drooling at her feet and trying to get her to choose one of them.
Watching shirtless guys tripping over themselves while trying to impress you is a job that takes commitment, time, and effort, which is why junior Olivia Mooring is more than ready to take on the starring role of “The Bachelorette.”
“Olivia would be a great Bachelorette,” said junior Megan Wiegman, Olivia’s good friend. “She is pretty and fun to be around, plus she is a player.”
Being a player might be a great quality for a bachelorette to have since she would be able to easily balance all the guys’ attention while getting them to fall in love with her at the same time.
But for those occasional creepy contestants, Olivia has an answer for that.
“If there was a creepy guy on the show, I would be creepy right back to them,” said Olivia.
